OVERVIEW

Founded on the philosophy of innovation through collaboration, Fender Katsalidis has evolved from a Melbourne-centric architectural practice, to a highly awarded, multi-disciplinary international design firm whose work now influences built environment thinking across the globe.

Specialists in multi-residential, cultural, commercial, aged care and hotel typologies, we seek and deliver holistic solutions in architecture, masterplanning, urban design and interiors—solutions notable not only for their design quality, but also their civic contribution and economic mindfulness.

To ensure such outcomes remain our hallmark—and expose the practice to new and different ways of thinking—we frequently bring together local and international consultant teams to work side-by-side with our own.

The quest for holistic solutions has also driven us to extend our expertise far beyond the expected. Fender Katsalidis was a pioneer, and remains a leader, in 3D virtual modelling and building information systems, while the Unitised Building system invented by practice co-founder, Nonda Katsalidis, continues to revolutionise construction timeframes and costs.

Perhaps best known for our definitive tall building and public realm design, we are equally proud of our lesser profile achievements: the documentation and quality assurance processes, for example, regarded as the gold standard throughout the construction industry.

As sophisticated as our technology may be, and as reliable as our processes have proven themselves, we know that ultimately it’s experience that ensures the original design vision is realised. Our directors thus remain ‘hands on’ with every project from inception to completion.

The emergence of Fender Katsalidis as a global, design-led practice is as much a measure of our culture, as it is our creativity.

A true design studio, we solve problems collaboratively: one team, comprising many points of view, approaches, levels of experience and areas of specialist knowledge — augmented where required by best-of-breed consultants — all focused on realising the best possible client outcome.

PROJECT ARCHITECTS MELBOURNE & SYDNEY

Fender Katsalidis welcomes registrations of interest from talented Project Architects.

Progressive career opportunities available for competent and committed practitioners with broad experience on medium to large-scale projects.  Applicants should demonstrate their experience in project leadership or as direct support to a project leader in the delivery of medium to large-scale developments and be effective in leading a project team within scope, QA protocols, CAD production, consultant coordination and site related matters.  

Strengths in the areas of design development, documentation and site services are of significant interest.

ARCHITECTS & EXPERIENCED GRADUATES OF ARCHITECTURE MELBOURNE & SYDNEY

Fender Katsalidis is offering a number of positions as we expand our teams in both Melbourne and Sydney. With a strong pipeline of work we are seeking a range of versatile design professionals including Project Architects, Architects and Experienced Graduates of Architecture.  

Practitioners should demonstrate experience across a variety or project types including; high rise residential, multi-residential, hotel, commercial towers, retirement living and aged-care facilities.  Strength in the areas of sketch design, design development, CAD design and documentation, graphics packages are all of significant interest and skilled use of ArchiCAD is advantageous.
