Melinda is an architect who thrives on a challenge; the bigger and more complex the project, the better. Just as well, because since entering the profession almost a decade ago, major projects have been her exclusive domain.

A driven, highly focused professional who loves working in a team environment, Melinda’s experience encompasses the commercial, residential, hospitality and education sectors, with key contributions to notable projects such as Dinner By Heston, the University of Melbourne Economics and Commerce Building, and 717 Bourke Street to her credit.

Since joining Fender Katsalidis in 2018, she has led our Saint Moritz team, successfully guiding this premium luxury multi-residential project through town planning, design development and on to construction.

Always rigorous in her approach, Melinda is a creative problem solver and thoughtful communicator. As adept at managing design detail, as she is the dynamics of diverse groups on site, she is widely respected as a lead leader and mentor, particularly by the practice’s young female architects.

Her passion for a challenge doesn’t begin and end with the office. Through Architects Without Frontiers and Aussie Action Abroad, she has assisted in the building of schools and other community facilities in various parts of Nepal since 2008.
