The built form is nestled among beautiful mature gum trees which line the main road and feature a series of portal frames with facades of sandstone and crisp white render. In elevation, the proportions of the portal frames respond to the existing street rhythm of low-density houses which gives identity to the individual apartments.

The architecture responds to the steep sloping natural topography by dropping the western facing apartments down to match the lower lying houses of Samuel Street.

This reduction in height, combined with recessive dark bronze materiality, importantly descales the building to sit comfortably in its context while also allowing for fantastic sweeping views towards the Blue Mountains.

A generous communal space is located between the two lower wings of the building which mimics a traditional Australian backyard with timber pergola, seating and BBQ providing a beautiful landscape for residents and visitors to relax.

Designed as functional hubs, these connected spaces facilitate a strong sense of community through events within the property such as BBQs, wine and cheese nights, outdoor movies, ice cream socials, and yoga classes.

The Botanic apartments are set in a vibrant community opposite a shopping centre, in a leafy, tree-lined street and are centrally located near restaurants, cafes, gyms, shops and public transport. There is also plenty of parkland nearby, including Denistone Park, Yamble Reserve, Memorial Park and the Parramatta River.
