Fender Katsalidis was commissioned to design the new cellar door at Levantine Hill Estate.

Set on the hillside in Coldstream, the building is defined by, black steel, apricot-coloured wood and long stretches of glass.

Echoing the forms of the stunning undulating Yarra Valley landscape, the harmonious curved roof is coupled to the land where it overlooks extensive vineyards.

Inside, an uninterrupted vaulted ceiling and barrel style tasting booths pay homage to wine making whilst framing picturesque vistas in an intimate fine dining setting.

Selected materials reflect the cultivated natural surroundings with expressed Australian hardwood timbers, exposed concrete, raw and precious metals, and glass.

Planning comprises of a fully equipped commercial kitchen, bar facilities, VIP tasting room, fine dining restaurant, casual and alfresco dining.
