Palm Jebel Ali
The Palm Jebel Ali is a reclaimed island in the form of a date palm off the coast of Dubai.
The palm is intended to have a population of 250,000 people in a residential, commercial and resort community. Fender Katsalidis master planned the palm with road networks embracing water views creating a pattern of perimeter block development.
The massing of the skyline is sculpted to maximise opportunities for water views from tower buildings.
Each crescent is broken into precincts of varied character to add diversity and reflect a precinct’s specific relationship to views and public amenity.
Landmark sites are identified for signature buildings and numerous building typologies developed for each precinct. The trunk features a waterfront cultural precinct.
