Veneto Waterfront
Fender Katsalidis’ master plan for Veneto within Dubai Waterfront is the first in Dubai to adopt the principle of walkable neighbourhoods, reversing the trend of car dominance.
Every dwelling is a maximum fiveminute walk from an urban centre, schools, shops, transport and recreation facilities. Canals have been cut into the desert landscape facilitating water transport.
Bridges span canals linking pedestrians to other phases of Dubai Waterfront.
To compliment the master plan for the site, FK designed a series of villas and townhouse types to reflect their orientation in the master plan, facing parks, water, urban centres or boulevards. In most cases, garage access is from the rear to promote tree lined, pedestrian friendly streets uncluttered by vehicular crossover or garages.
Veneto is a highly successful development, selling the first 700 of 1400 villas in four days.
