The verticality of the building engages in dialogue with the surrounding context whilst distinguishing itself as an elegantly proportioned, sculptural tower.

The large (typically 120m2) apartments also offer accommodation that is rare and sought after within the central city area. With only one apartment per floor and high-quality finishes and fixtures, Phoenix presents a desirable opportunity for professionals and families who live and work in the city.

At 28 storeys, the overall height of the building is not extraordinary; however the site is a narrow, deep lot (6.8m x 24.3m) creating an extraordinary aspect ratio of 1:13 at 88 metres tall. It is extremely unusual for buildings of this height to have to have a damper tank to increase stability.

In collaboration with Garry Emery, a ribbon graphic was integrated into the design creating a building that is highly recognisable.

The narrow footprint enables the building to achieve views from significant heights without imposing on the streetscape or the neighbouring buildings through bulk or shadow.
