Karen Morris is an interior architect whose appointment as an associate principal at Fender Katsalidis sees her expand our presence in Sydney and grow the practice’s interiors offering.

For Karen, interiors are about experiences and how spaces make us feel. An appreciation for storytelling drives her projects, creating meaningful and expressive spaces. This sense of narrative helps clients better understand the process, while keeping those involved true to the vision.

Favouring clever design, space and proportions over elaborate use of finishes and features, she believes that big budgets aren’t always necessary to create impactful spaces.

Karen brings a wealth of international and sector expertise to the practice with extensive experience working across hotels, restaurants, residential developments and corporate fitouts. Prior to joining FK, Karen spent time immersed in the emergent build-to-rent sector in the UK, as well as overseeing the design of an innovative workplace campus in Switzerland.

Karen’s broad range of skills allow her to think outside the box. This multifaceted, interchangeable skillset lends well to projects of varying diversity, which are functional, beautiful and pleasant to be in.
