Sophie Farmer is an Associate at FK who specialises in parametric facade.
As a key member of the design team for Central Place Sydney, her role primarily consists of facade scripting, as well as coordinating the consultant document sets for the development applications.
With professional experience in both Sydney and Melbourne, Sophie has worked on large scale developments across residential, commercial and hospitality, as well as some masterplanning and art installation projects. Prior to this, Sophie completed both her bachelor and master degrees in architecture at the University of Melbourne, with a concentration in sustainability practice and production. Her keen interest in sustainability and wellness has led Sophie to become a member of the practice’s Sustainability Committee and establish a responsible design platform. Through this, she aims to develop new and appealing ways to encourage clients to pursue net zero design and achieve a WELL Building Standard for all developments.
Sophie’s combined interests in technology, ESD principles and wellness form a basis upon which she designs healthy spaces that lead to improved human health.
