James is an associate with a comprehensive academic background and a very hands-on industry experience.

Highly versatile in skillset, James is comfortable moving back and forth between projects, whether assisting with feasibilities on a project’s early stages, schematics and construction documentation. Working alongside builders and developers, James enjoys the art of crafting details that are both efficient and well resolved, sourcing products that are compliant while achieving outcomes that also feel bespoke.

Since joining the practice, James has been involved primarily in Paragon’s progression from tender stage to final completion. During that time, he worked on the base building architecture and coordinating the structure until its topping out. He then contributed to each subsequent element including façade, interior and common areas. James has also contributed to the structural coordination and fitout of Sky Village in Box Hill, as well as the fitout package for the common areas within the Rupert Street development in Collingwood.

James credits his keen eye for detail to time spent working as a carpenter prior to his career in architecture. Drawn to the tectonics in architecture, James likes to see things come together, whether it’s a large residential development or a piece of handmade furniture.
