As an Associate, Rebecca likes to consider the importance of the places where we live and work and the difference good design can make in how we experience them.

Prior to FK, Rebecca received a Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) at Curtin University in Perth and a Master of Architecture at Melbourne University. Her early professional experience was very hands-on at a small practice, with work on hospitality projects and fitouts as well as office design.

Joining FK as a graduate, Rebecca has progressed into a trusted architect, taking on roles and responsibilities in coordinating complex design components crucial to the successful delivery of projects. She has experience working in various phases, including design development, town planning and construction documentation.

Rebecca has demonstrated people skills and organisational capabilities, resulting in a successful way of working, delegating tasks, checking in on team members, and ensuring the project’s performance is optimal and objectives are achieved.

For Rebecca, talking to clients and end users about what is most important to them within their lifestyle helps to determine how to design a space which can facilitate that. Further understanding of how people use spaces informs how her designs can adapt over time and change to their needs.
