Sarah’s combined passions for interior design and architecture reflect her long held fascination with human scale spaces, and the manner in which planning, light, colour, shape, materiality and texture interrelate to control how even the smallest volume is experienced.
Since graduating with her Master of Architecture from the University of Tasmania, Sarah has been engaged by leading Melbourne-based design firms in both disciplines, including eight years with FK.
Her introduction to our firm came in the form of 4 National Circuit in Canberra, a multi-award winning commercial refurbishment she helped guide from tender to completion as part of the base build team.
This experience would prove pivotal to Sarah’s development as an interior architect. Focused on human centric design, but able to assimilate structural and mechanical considerations intuitively, she crafts interiors that are as buildable as they beautifully resolved. Sarah has successfully delivered Buxton Contemporary and is currently working on several large-scale commercial refurbishments in Melbourne’s CBD.
Sarah prides herself on fostering strong, trusting relationships with clients, and supporting the younger members of her team through mentoring and workplace camaraderie.
Something of a wordsmith, she is also an occasional contributor to to various design and architecture publications such as Houses.
